The countdown to Black Friday & Cyber Monday is on. We have curated a marketing calendar that you and your team can leverage to drive a successful home run for this Black Friday & Cyber Monday. Whether you are using Gleantap or another platform for your small business marketing, this calendar will be instrumental in planning and executing on your strategy leading up to the big day.

  • Finalize BFCM specials & segments to target
    • VIPs
    • Past purchasers
    • Win-back

November 3

  • Announce BFCM specials to VIPs
    • Very active visitors, visited in the last 30/14/7 days, however you define your VIPs

November 4

  • Announce BFCM specials to past BFCM purchasers 
    • Segment out people who have purchased last year’s deal, made a purchase between 11/25-28/2022 or all of November, etc

November 7

  • Build your ‘Be the First to Know’/ ‘Early Access’ form

November 9

  • Build & schedule your BFCM campaigns

November 10

  • Send seasonal email campaign to full list (gift guide, holiday self care tips, healthy recipes, holiday hour announcements, etc.)

November 11

  • Send Veteran’s Day observance email campaign to active members

November 13

  • Build your BFCM Flow (see Flow campaigns and timing below in blue)

November 14

  • Send BFCM specials to past purchasers segment

November 15

  • Double check that all segments are set up properly

November 16

  • Send ‘Be the First to Know’/ ‘Early Access’ form via campaign and/ or add to site

November 17

  • Double check all campaign links, photos, etc. are working; send test email & SMS campaigns

November 20

  • Pause all campaigns & flows not needed during BFCM
  • Send BFCM SMS campaign to VIPs

November 21

  • Upgrade SMS credits to avoid overage fees, if needed
  • Send BFCM email campaign to VIPs

November 22

  • Send early access SMS & email teaser only to those who filled out form

November 23

  • Send Thanksgiving email campaign to full list
  • Send early access BFCM sale SMS & email to VIPs only

November 24

  • Send Black Friday email campaign 2x
    • AM to full list
    • PM to engaged list
    • NOTE: Black Friday only, not BF & CM (BF & CM specials differ)
  • Send Black Friday SMS campaign 2x
    • AM to VIPs
    • PM to full list

November 25

  • Check open rates & campaign status
  • Send Small Business Saturday email campaign to 30-day engaged list
  • Send Small Business Saturday SMS campaign with discount to 30-day engaged list & VIPs

November 26

  • Continue to monitor performance
  • Send early access SMS & email to those who filled out form & VIPs only

November 27

  • Continue to monitor performance
  • Send Cyber Monday email campaign 2x
    • AM to full list
    • PM to engaged list
  • Send Cyber Monday SMS campaign 2x
    • AM to VIPs

November 29

  • Send Cyber Weekend last chance email campaign to 30-day segment
  • Send Cyber Weekend last chance SMS campaign to those who have opened or clicked any of the above emails but have not purchased

  • Turn back on any campaigns or flows that were paused for BFCM
