Member engagement measures how actively members interact with a business — through visits, purchases, class attendance, app usage, and communication responsiveness. It's the leading indicator of retention.

Why Engagement Predicts Retention

Members who engage frequently are far less likely to cancel. A gym member who checks in 8+ times per month has a 95% chance of renewing. One who visits less than 4 times has only a 40% chance. Engagement isn't just a nice-to-have — it's the strongest predictor of revenue.
