Pipeline

A pipeline is a visual representation of where prospects and deals are in your sales process. It's typically displayed as a kanban board with columns representing each stage, from initial inquiry through to closed/won.

Common Pipeline Stages

  • New Inquiry: Lead just came in
  • Contacted: First outreach made
  • Qualified: Confirmed as a good fit
  • Trial/Tour Scheduled: Next step booked
  • Trial Completed: They've experienced your offering
  • Proposal/Offer: Pricing or membership presented
  • Won: Converted to paying customer
  • Lost: Did not convert (with reason)

Why Pipelines Matter

Without a pipeline, leads fall through the cracks. A well-managed pipeline gives you visibility into your sales funnel, helps forecast revenue, identifies bottlenecks, and ensures every prospect gets the follow-up they need.
